Myriota has taken a decisive step in advancing satellite-enabled IoT communications with the launch of HyperPulse™, the first commercial 5G Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) service designed expressly for global-scale IoT deployments. With service already active across the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Australia, and broader expansion into Europe and Asia scheduled for early 2026, the launch signals a pivotal moment in the evolution of 5G NTN accessibility and performance.
As IoT requirements become increasingly distributed and demanding, traditional connectivity models often struggle to deliver the reach, resilience, or scalability necessary for mission-critical sensing and reporting. Myriota recognized for its leadership in space-enabled IoT communication addresses this gap with HyperPulse, a globally available platform engineered to support diverse industries operating in remote or infrastructure-constrained regions.
The network becomes commercially available on December 15, with industries such as environmental monitoring, oil and gas oversight, asset tracking, and animal tracking already active through Myriota’s Early Access Program.
HyperPulse is built and operated by Myriota, integrating the company’s 5G NTN architecture with L-band satellite capacity leased from Viasat. At the core of the platform is an adaptive optimization layer that allows key performance parameters — including data volume and latency to adjust in real time based on customer needs or environmental dynamics. This flexibility positions HyperPulse as a solution capable of supporting both low-power devices and higher-data-intensity IoT applications.
The forthcoming expansion into Europe, Southeast Asia, and additional Latin American regions in 2026 will significantly broaden the network’s footprint, strengthening its role in democratizing satellite IoT accessibility worldwide.
HyperPulse complements Myriota’s existing UltraLite™ service optimized for extreme energy efficiency and compact data workloads by delivering lower latency and higher daily data allowances. These enhancements enable richer reporting and more sophisticated sensing across use cases such as:
Monitoring for heavy equipment and industrial assets
Smart metering for utilities
Weather and environmental sensing
Soil, air, and water quality tracking
Animal management, including remote monitoring and virtual fencing
Built on 3GPP 5G NTN standards, the network integrates seamlessly with an expanding ecosystem of NTN-capable modules and devices. Myriota recently certified Nordic Semiconductor’s nRF9151 module across multiple operational scenarios, with additional module certifications underway.
To support device makers and solution providers, Myriota is launching a suite of enablement tools, beginning with the HyperPulse Developer Kit. Designed for rapid prototyping and field validation, the kit features a weatherproof enclosure, battery operation, and multiple sensor interfaces.
“Myriota is making 5G non-terrestrial connectivity a practical reality for IoT at scale,” said Ben Cade, CEO of Myriota, emphasizing the network’s foundation for long-term global deployment.
According to Next Move Strategy Consulting, the introduction of HyperPulse arrives at a defining moment for the 5G NTN Market, which is entering a phase of rapid commercialization and ecosystem expansion. As enterprises shift toward globally distributed IoT architectures, demand is rising for standards-based, low-latency satellite networks that can integrate seamlessly with terrestrial 5G systems. From a market perspective, 5G NTN adoption is gaining momentum as industries increasingly require universal coverage across remote and hybrid geographies, coupled with a shift toward high-fidelity sensing where timely data delivery directly enhances operational efficiency. At the same time, the rise of interoperable NTN hardware ecosystems is enabling scalable deployments without dependence on proprietary platforms. Within this evolving landscape, HyperPulse’s adherence to 3GPP standards and its adaptive performance framework positions it as a significant advancement for a market that is prioritizing interoperability, affordability, and globally consistent connectivity.
HyperPulse’s alignment with 3GPP standards, paired with its adaptive performance capabilities, positions it as a notable advancement in a market increasingly prioritizing interoperability, affordability, and global reach.
With HyperPulse, Myriota establishes a forward-looking model for non-terrestrial connectivity one that merges satellite coverage, dynamic network tuning, and standards-driven design into a single, globally scalable platform. As IoT applications continue to stretch across continents and industries, HyperPulse sets the stage for a new generation of high-performance, widely deployable 5G NTN solutions.
