The market excludes standalone material-handling equipment that does not constitute an automated storage and retrieval system, including conventional shelving, static racks, manual storage systems, forklifts, pallet trucks, conveyors, standalone sortation equipment, manual carousels, cranes used solely for lifting or construction purposes, and standalone robotic systems without an integrated storage and retrieval function. Warehouse management systems (WMS), warehouse control systems (WCS), enterprise software, inventory-management software, and other digital solutions are excluded unless their revenue is inseparably bundled with the ASRS system being measured. Standalone AGVs, AMRs, robotic picking systems, packaging equipment, labeling systems, and general warehouse automation are excluded where they do not perform the defined storage and retrieval function. Revenue from routine maintenance, spare parts, repair, consulting, system integration, and professional services is excluded when separately reported from the ASRS equipment or system sale. Manual storage installations, non-automated brownfield modifications, used or refurbished systems without a separately identifiable new-market transaction, and internal captive systems without a commercial transaction are also excluded.
