MILAN, Italy — June 17, 2026 — Accenture has agreed to acquire Alfahealth, a subsidiary of Engineering Group, in a move aimed at expanding its digital health capabilities in Italy. The acquisition will strengthen Accenture’s healthcare practice by adding a service-led digital health platform designed to help organizations modernize clinical processes, connect data across the care continuum, and improve patient access, experience, and outcomes.
The announcement comes as healthcare organizations across Italy continue to invest in digital transformation initiatives and more connected models of care.
Alfahealth brings more than 20 years of experience in developing and operating healthcare technology capabilities through a services-plus-product model. The company supports patient journeys through solutions focused on clinical workflows, diagnostics, and administrative and operational processes.
Its technology enables healthcare providers to connect data and support integrated models of care while meeting the scale and regulatory requirements of the Italian healthcare market.
The acquisition aligns with Accenture’s strategy of combining services, software, data, and AI-powered platforms through an integrated services and product model to help clients achieve end-to-end transformation. Following the transaction, Alfahealth is expected to benefit from Accenture’s capabilities in data, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.
“Italy is at a pivotal moment in the transformation of its healthcare system, with growing investments in Digital Healthcare, interoperability and new models of care,” said Teodoro Lio, Market Unit Lead for Accenture in Italy.

As part of the acquisition, approximately 1,200 specialized professionals from Alfahealth will join Accenture Italy’s Health practice.
