Argo Graphene Solutions Corp. (CSE: ARGO; OTCQB: ARLSF) has completed an initial graphene-infused concrete test pour in Bristol, Tennessee and immediately initiated a larger, follow-up pour at the same site — a deliberate step toward validating its graphene formulation for construction use.
The maiden pour covered 12.5 cubic meters distributed across three slabs. The second, expanded pour will place 15 cubic meters across two on-grade slabs measuring 25 ft × 40 ft and 20 ft × 35 ft, respectively. Argo reports the purpose of the scaled follow-up is to more fully demonstrate the effects of its proprietary graphene additive on conventional concrete mixes.
Argo has set minimum target performance improvements for the graphene-enhanced concrete: as much as a 30% increase in compressive strength, a 30% increase in tensile strength, and a 29% increase in flexural strength, together with reduced porosity for improved crack resistance. The company also cites early observations of better tensile strength and enhanced workability from the initial pour.
To verify field observations, Argo will conduct compressive strength testing per ASTM C39 on cylinder samples collected from both pours. Tests are scheduled at Days 7, 14, 21, 28 and 56 to track strength development over time and produce standardized, comparable results.
