NEW DELHI, India — June 11, 2026 — As global technology conglomerates accelerate their green energy transitions, Meta Platforms, Inc. and CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions Ltd have finalized a massive corporate partnership. The agreement secures over 900 MW of total renewable energy capacity across India, signaling a major surge in enterprise-led clean energy procurement.
The newly expanded collaboration will actively support the development of 837 MW of fresh solar and wind capacity across the resource-rich states of Rajasthan and Karnataka. When integrated with the companies' previously announced initiatives, the joint portfolio pushes past the 900 MW threshold.
Under the framework of the agreement, CleanMax will spearhead the development and long-term operations of these large-scale utility projects. In turn, Meta has committed to purchasing 100 percent of the environmental attributes generated by the facilities to balance its growing infrastructure footprint.
Grid Modernization: Adds immediate, net-new generation capacity directly to India's regional electricity grids.
100% Renewable Matching: Supports Meta’s ongoing corporate mandate to match its global electricity consumption with clean power.
Value Chain De-carbonization: Directly targets and mitigates Meta's broader operational and scope 3 value chain emissions in the South Asian market.
The deal highlights a broader, structural transformation within the regional energy sector as technology giants build out local artificial intelligence and data infrastructure.
"Meta connects billions of people every day while helping shape the future of digital and AI infrastructure," stated Kuldeep Jain, Founder and Managing Director of CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions Ltd. "We are thrilled to partner with them on this journey."
Amanda Yang, Head of Clean and Renewable Energy at Meta, emphasized that the agreements represent "meaningful progress in supporting our renewable energy goals in the region."
According to NMSC analysts tracking global commercial and industrial (C&I) clean energy shifts, massive procurement deals of this scale are fundamentally redefining regional capacity forecasts. Lead energy strategists at Next Move Strategy Consulting note that the Indian Renewable Energy Market is experiencing highly accelerated corporate investment, driven by tech firms seeking long-term price security alongside strict decarbonization targets.
As power demands scale alongside next-generation digital networks, infrastructure integration remains critical. The massive 900 MW milestone established by Meta and CleanMax sets a clear benchmark for how multinational technology firms intend to scale responsibly within developing energy grids.
