NEW YORK, September 23, 2026 — The global Military ATV & UTV Market was valued at USD 1,082.41 million in 2025 and is estimated to reach USD 1,153.81 million in 2026, according to Next Move Strategy Consulting (NMSC). The market is projected to expand to USD 1,777.49 million by 2035, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.92% between 2026 and 2035. The updated outlook reflects defense procurement for light tactical mobility, expanding border-security requirements, special-forces demand for low-signature reconnaissance platforms, and investment in electric and modular vehicle technologies.
North America led with USD 378.80 million in 2025, while Europe is projected to grow fastest at a 6.19% CAGR through 2035. UTVs / SxS represented the dominant vehicle configuration with USD 801.43 million in 2025, according to NMSC.
The Military ATV & UTV Market is estimated at USD 1,153.81 million in 2026 and is forecast to reach USD 1,777.49 million by 2035 at a 4.92% CAGR.
Utility Task Vehicles (UTVs / SxS) led vehicle configuration with USD 801.43 million in 2025 and are forecast to reach USD 1,355.33 million by 2035.
Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) are the fastest-growing propulsion category at a 6.33% CAGR from 2026 to 2035.
Other Special Forces was the largest end-user segment at USD 391.65 million in 2025; the U.S. was the largest country market at USD 348.70 million, while Mexico had the fastest country-level CAGR at 9.11%.
The market presents an absolute dollar opportunity of USD 623.68 million between the 2026 estimate of USD 1,153.81 million and the 2035 forecast of USD 1,777.49 million.
Based on NMSC’s analysis, rising defense-budget allocation to light tactical mobility platforms is the primary growth driver, contributing an estimated 1.4 percentage points to CAGR from 2026 to 2035. The research links this demand to armed forces’ requirements for rapid-mobility assets used in reconnaissance and logistics, while U.S. Department of Defense procurement funding supports continued demand in this class.
A second driver is expanding border-security procurement, which NMSC estimates contributes 1.1 percentage points to CAGR. The research also identifies special-forces demand for silent-drive reconnaissance platforms as a 0.8 percentage-point growth contributor, reflecting increased interest in lower-signature mobility capabilities for specialized missions.
Growth is constrained by extended defense procurement and qualification-testing cycles, which NMSC estimates create a negative 0.7 percentage-point impact on CAGR. The report notes that new electric and hybrid variants can require additional validation for battery safety and field durability. Constrained defense budgets in selected emerging markets are another restraint, estimated to reduce CAGR by 0.5 percentage points.
An emerging opportunity is purpose-built silent-drive electric mobility for reconnaissance and special-operations missions. NMSC identifies battery-electric propulsion as the fastest-growing propulsion type at a 6.33% CAGR, with reduced acoustic and thermal signatures supporting mission applications. The research also highlights modular mission kits that allow one chassis to support logistics, casualty evacuation and weapons-carrier roles.
The NMSC report profiles 20 companies, including Polaris Inc., Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. (BRP), Ontario Drive & Gear Limited (ARGO), CORVUS Innova, S.L., Arctic Cat Inc., and Kubota Corporation, among others.
On July 13, 2026, Polaris Government and Defense announced a USD 10.6 million order from Belgium’s Ministry of Defence for MRZR D4 tactical off-road vehicles through the NATO Support and Procurement Agency framework. Polaris said it was the first call-off under the framework awarded in September 2025.
On June 24, 2026, the U.S. Marine Corps placed its first delivery order under the new Ultra-Light Tactical Vehicle contract with Polaris Government and Defense, ordering more than 70 MRZR Alpha vehicles and accessories; Polaris said more than half were the 5 kW export-power variant.
On June 14, 2026, Oshkosh Defense announced a Eurosatory 2026 showcase of its hybrid-electric Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (eJLTV), featuring exportable onboard power plus silent-watch and silent-drive capabilities.

“Military mobility procurement is increasingly centered on adaptable platforms that combine off-road performance with modular payloads and lower-signature power options. The next phase of demand will test suppliers’ ability to integrate these capabilities while meeting defense qualification requirements.”
-Jayanta Das, Senior Research Analyst, Next Move Strategy Consulting
NMSC’s analysis also points to selective M&A interest around electric propulsion and modular mission-kit engineering, while current procurement activity shows continued emphasis on interoperability, qualification depth and multi-mission configurations.
