He further stated that there is "confirmation" that drones entering Polish airspace earlier in September were Russian. "Everything points to Russia, but all countries are careful about singling out a nation without certainty. In Poland, however, we know that was the case," he added.

Denmark Closes Airspace to Civilian Drones Ahead of EU Summit

Drones were spotted over Danish military sites on Saturday night for the second consecutive day. Copenhagen is set to host an EU summit on Wednesday and Thursday. To enhance security during the summit, Denmark announced on Sunday that it would restrict all civilian drone flights until Friday, aiming to prevent enemy drones from being mistaken for authorized ones.

Violating Denmark’s drone restrictions can lead to fines or imprisonment for up to two years. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen stated this week that "there is one main country that poses a threat to Europe's security, and it is Russia." Moscow, however, has "firmly rejected" any claims of involvement.

The recent wave of drone sightings follows earlier incursions into Polish and Romanian airspace, as well as Russian fighter jets violating Estonian airspace, heightening tensions amid Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
