Biofertilizers Market Gains Momentum with DE SANGOSSE-ASAGTECH Deal

DE SANGOSSE and ASAGTECH Launch Joint Biosolutions Venture to Expand Mexico Agricultural Market

Mexico City, Mexico — August 11, 2026 — French agricultural biosolutions company DE SANGOSSE Group and Mexican agribusiness firm ASAGTECH have announced a strategic partnership to establish DE SANGOSSE Mexico, a new joint venture dedicated to developing and commercializing biological and lower-impact agricultural solutions across Mexico. The development marks a significant commercial expansion within the global Biofertilizers Market, which was valued at USD 2.36 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach USD 4.58 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 11.7%.

The newly formed entity will combine DE SANGOSSE's established biosolutions and agricultural technology portfolio — currently distributed across nearly 70 countries through a network of 44 entities — with ASAGTECH's regional distribution infrastructure, market expertise, and established customer relationships in Mexico.

The partnership is structured to accelerate the adoption of biological agricultural inputs, including biofertilizers and related biosolutions, in one of Latin America's most strategically important agricultural markets. Both companies stated that the venture is designed to create long-term value for farmers, distributors, and other participants across Mexico's agricultural value chain.

"The creation of DE SANGOSSE Mexico marks a new milestone in our international development strategy," said Nicolas Fillon, CEO of DE SANGOSSE Group. "By combining DE SANGOSSE's expertise in biosolutions and agricultural innovation with ASAGTECH's deep understanding of the Mexican market, we are creating a strong platform to support the future of agriculture in Mexico."

ASAGTECH CEO Sergio Herrera emphasized the complementary nature of the alliance: "We are proud to join forces with DE SANGOSSE and contribute our local expertise, commercial capabilities and customer relationships to this new venture. Together, we are committed to creating a unique approach based on sustainable solutions and unique operational capabilities to address present and future needs of Mexican farmers."

Key Highlights:

  • New Joint Entity: DE SANGOSSE Mexico will serve as a dedicated platform for the development and commercialization of biosolutions, including biofertilizers, targeting Mexico's large and growing agricultural sector.

  • Combined Strengths: The venture integrates DE SANGOSSE's global biosolutions portfolio — sold in nearly 70 countries — with ASAGTECH's established distribution network and deep regional market knowledge.

  • Strategic Market Focus: Mexico is identified as a key agricultural market in Latin America, with the partnership designed to expand farmer access to biological and lower-impact crop nutrition alternatives.

  • Broader Market Context: The global Biofertilizers Market is projected to grow from USD 2.36 billion in 2024 to USD 4.58 billion by 2030 at a CAGR of 11.7%, driven by rising demand for sustainable farming inputs and organic agricultural solutions.

Analyst Insight:

According to analysts at Next Move Strategy Consulting, the DE SANGOSSE–ASAGTECH joint venture reflects a broader strategic trend among global biosolutions companies seeking to establish localized commercial infrastructure in high-growth emerging markets. Latin America, and Mexico in particular, represents a significant growth frontier for biofertilizer adoption, given the region's large agricultural base, increasing regulatory pressure to reduce synthetic fertilizer dependency, and growing farmer awareness of soil health management.

NMSC analysts note that partnerships combining global technology portfolios with regional distribution expertise are increasingly recognized as the most effective market-entry model for biosolutions companies operating in geographically diverse agricultural markets. As the global Biofertilizers Market approaches USD 4.58 billion by 2030, such strategic alliances are expected to become a defining feature of competitive positioning across the sector.

Industry Outlook:

The establishment of DE SANGOSSE Mexico signals a continued acceleration of biosolutions commercialization in Latin America, a region where chemical fertilizer dependency remains high but is increasingly challenged by supply disruptions, cost pressures, and sustainability mandates. Mexico's agricultural sector — a major producer of fruits, vegetables, and grains for both domestic consumption and export — presents a substantial addressable market for biofertilizer and biosolution providers.

For the broader biofertilizers industry, the DE SANGOSSE–ASAGTECH model underscores the importance of localized market knowledge as a competitive differentiator. As global demand for biological agricultural inputs continues to expand, companies that establish integrated commercial platforms in key regional markets are likely to capture disproportionate share of the sector's projected growth through 2030 and beyond. Regulatory trends in Mexico and across Latin America, increasingly oriented toward reducing synthetic input use, are expected to further support the commercial viability of biosolutions ventures of this nature.
