Implemented in phases, the Nexus Yang campus aims to provide significant IT load capacity initially targeting around 350 megawatts designed to attract global cloud providers, enterprises, and hyperscalers across the Asia Pacific region. 

Negeri Sembilan’s Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, highlighted that the project’s construction will boost the state’s digital ecosystem, create nearly 200 skilled roles in engineering and operations, and enhance local capabilities in supporting global technology supply chains. Emphasis on integrating renewable energy and forward-looking energy management approaches underscores the campus’s commitment to sustainability.

The Nexus Yang Green Data Centre is expected to catalyse development in complementary industries such as renewable energy, industrial maintenance, logistics, and training services. Planners have adopted a voluntary grid-responsive approach that optimises utility supply and supports grid stability, thereby potentially reducing systemic energy costs and congestion.
