In a strategic move to accelerate enterprise AI deployment, IBM has rolled out its new AI Data Integration Services, aiming to help organizations transform end-to-end business processes into intelligent, agent-based workflows.
This reimagined business process is referred to as an “agentic app,” designed with three distinct layers. The first layer focuses on a persona-based user experience, enhancing employees’ everyday tools by integrating AI assistants tailored to specific roles and needs. The second layer features multi-agent orchestration, where multiple AI agents collaborate to revolutionize workflow execution, monitoring, and control, all while maintaining strong AI governance. The third layer emphasizes optimized data management, ensuring data is well-organized, prepared for seamless consumption, and accessible in real-time from various enterprise systems. To successfully implement and support these agentic apps, organizations must also focus on upskilling their workforce, driving effective change management programs to foster employee adoption, and establishing robust organizational governance frameworks.
Expertise in Scaling AI: Leveraging a team of IBM consultants—over 75,000 certified in generative AI and 135,000 credentialed in sectors like finance and telecom—IBM supports enterprises in implementing AI with built-in governance.
Generative AI-Powered Acceleration: The offering integrates IBM Consulting Advantage technology, including the Agent Catalyst platform, delivering low-code/no-code tools for designing and deploying agentic applications on preferred cloud platforms.
Pre-Built Agentic App Templates: A library of templates facilitates quick deployment for processes like source-to-pay, customer service, supply chain, and industry-specific workflows — embedded with customizable AI agents from IBM and partners such as Oracle and SAP.
IBM’s agentic AI and automation solution is designed to help organizations build, deploy, and manage AI agents and virtual assistants. As part of its AI Integration Services, IBM Watsonx Orchestrate is designed to connect with over 80 enterprise applications — including platforms like Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, Adobe, and AWS — enabling AI agents to retrieve, interpret, and act on enterprise content across these systems through secure, governed workflows.
IBM is intensifying its push to embed AI more deeply within enterprises by expanding its Watsonx platform and introducing new integration and data tools, all focused on overcoming one of AI’s biggest challenges—delivering clear, measurable business value.
“We help our clients integrate by meeting them where they are,” he said, ahead of IBM's annual Think conference sessions.
IBM’s tools, designed to enable customers to build their own AI agents in under five minutes, leverage the IBM Granite family of AI models along with options from Meta Platforms, Mistral, and others, Krishna added.
With AI Integration Services, IBM is enabling businesses to move beyond pilot projects into fully automated, agent-based processes—fostering improved efficiency, control, and scalability. This launch reinforces IBM’s leadership in driving the next wave of enterprise transformation through intelligent automation frameworks.
