HARTLAND, Wisconsin, United States August 21, 2026 Quest, a ProMach brand, has introduced robotic case packing and palletizing technology as a core component of its Flexible One integrated packaging solution, marking a significant advancement in end-to-end packaging automation. The development reinforces the accelerating role of robotics and intelligent controls within the global Packaging Machinery Market, which was valued at USD 56.75 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach USD 76.20 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 5.0%.
The Flexible One platform consolidates primary packaging, secondary packaging, and end-of-line automation from multiple ProMach brands into a single, unified solution. The system incorporates horizontal and vertical form-fill-seal machinery, vision guidance, robotics, and integrated controls offering manufacturers a single-source option for complete line integration.
According to Quest, the platform was developed in direct response to customer feedback centred on evolving package formats, workforce shortages, complex changeover requirements, and constrained production floor space. "Manufacturers today are being asked to do more with fewer resources while supporting a wider variety of products and package formats than ever before," said Jae Hong, Vice President and General Manager at Quest. "Flexible One solution are designed specifically to address these challenges by combining the adaptability of robotics with the simplicity of operator-friendly controls and the performance advantages of fully integrated automation."
QX250 Robotic Case Packer: Handles multiple pouch sizes, case styles, pack patterns, and retail-ready configurations; dedicated end-of-arm tooling stored within the machine enables rapid format changeovers with minimal downtime.
QB321 Robotic Palletizer: Utilises recipe-driven controls allowing operators to create, store, and modify pallet patterns directly through the human-machine interface (HMI), eliminating the need for mechanical changeovers or additional tooling.
Broad Application Scope: The system is deployable across snack food, produce, cheese and dairy, ready-to-eat products, meat and poultry, consumer packaged goods, frozen food, and pet food sectors.
Pack Expo International 2026 Debut: Quest will demonstrate the Flexible One system at booth S-3660 during Pack Expo International 2026, scheduled for October 18–21 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.
According to analysts at Next Move Strategy Consulting, the launch of Quest's Flexible One platform reflects a broader industry shift toward fully integrated, single-source automation architectures a trend driven by persistent labour market pressures and the growing complexity of SKU proliferation across food and consumer goods sectors. NMSC analysts note that as manufacturers seek to reduce total cost of ownership and accelerate line changeovers, demand for modular robotic packaging systems that unify primary, secondary, and end-of-line operations is expected to intensify, positioning integrated platform providers at a competitive advantage through the forecast period to 2030.
The integration of robotics into unified packaging platforms such as Quest's Flexible One signals a structural evolution in how manufacturers approach line design moving away from piecemeal equipment procurement toward consolidated, interoperable automation ecosystems. As workforce availability constraints persist and consumer demand for product variety continues to expand, the adoption of intelligent, flexible packaging machinery is expected to accelerate across food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, and adjacent end-use sectors.
With the global packaging machinery market on a sustained growth trajectory through 2030, technology providers that deliver scalable, operator-friendly automation solutions are well-positioned to capture an expanding share of capital investment from manufacturers prioritising operational resilience and production agility.
