Poland’s construction sector is entering a major expansion phase after leading Polish builders signed a strategic pact to participate in Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction while a U.S.-led consortium secured a high-profile contract to manage construction of Poland’s flagship airport megaproject. The developments are reshaping infrastructure investment across Central and Eastern Europe, with latest proprietary data from Next Move Strategy Consulting (NMSC) projecting the Poland construction market will reach USD 32.15 billion by 2030.
The Poland Construction Market size was valued at USD 21.06 billion in 2024 and is projected to grow to USD 22.60 billion by 2025. The sector is expected to maintain momentum at a CAGR of 7.30% between 2025 and 2030, supported by rising transportation investments, regional reconstruction initiatives, and logistics infrastructure modernization.
According to reports published by IntelliNews and Notes From Poland, Poland is rapidly positioning itself as a strategic operational hub for infrastructure development linked to Ukraine rebuilding efforts and domestic transportation modernization.
Three major Polish construction firms — Budimex, Polimex Mostostal, and AMW SINEVIA — signed a cooperation agreement at Poland’s Ministry of State Assets to jointly pursue infrastructure projects tied to Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts.
The agreement is designed to combine technical expertise, financing coordination, logistics capabilities, and engineering resources as Poland prepares for what analysts describe as one of Europe’s largest long-term rebuilding programs. According to World Bank estimates cited in the report, Ukraine’s reconstruction costs could reach nearly USD 588 billion over the next decade.
“Sustained infrastructure rebuilding initiatives connected to Ukraine are creating a secondary growth engine for Poland’s construction sector,” said Sikha Haritwal, Senior Research Analyst at Next Move Strategy Consulting. “NMSC researchers identified accelerating contractor partnerships, cross-border logistics investments, and increasing infrastructure financing activity during the past two quarters.”
Industry analysts note that Polish companies are strategically positioned due to geographic proximity, transportation connectivity, established supplier ecosystems, and prior experience handling large-scale EU-backed infrastructure projects.
Separately, a consortium led by Hill International secured a 1.6 billion zloty (€373 million) contract to act as the general contract engineer for Poland’s Central Communication Port (CPK), one of Europe’s largest transportation infrastructure projects currently under development.
The airport initiative, located approximately 40 kilometers southwest of Warsaw, forms part of a wider 132 billion zloty transportation modernization program that includes new roads, logistics corridors, and high-speed rail infrastructure.
The project is expected to open in 2032 with an annual passenger handling capacity ranging between 34 million and 44 million travelers. Officials say the initiative will significantly strengthen Poland’s position as a regional transportation and logistics hub.
According to NMSC analysis, the airport development is expected to accelerate demand for:
Commercial construction services
Rail engineering solutions
Smart mobility infrastructure
Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems
AI-enabled construction management technologies
Analysts also identified increased government support for strategic infrastructure investments following renewed focus on transportation resilience and supply chain diversification across Europe.

Over the past six months, Poland’s construction sector has experienced rising adoption of AI-assisted project management systems, modular construction techniques, drone-enabled surveying platforms, and cloud-based collaboration technologies.
According to the latest NMSC proprietary dataset, digitalization is becoming a core competitive differentiator for infrastructure contractors as governments and investors demand greater transparency, cost control, and operational efficiency.
“NMSC researchers identified rising investment in digital engineering tools and automated construction monitoring systems tied to large-scale transportation projects,” Haritwal added.
Industry observers say adoption of smart construction technologies is expected to intensify as infrastructure projects become increasingly complex and capital-intensive.
Expand partnerships with infrastructure firms involved in Ukraine reconstruction planning.
Increase investment in AI-enabled project management and BIM platforms.
Prioritize transportation and logistics infrastructure opportunities linked to the CPK airport initiative.
Strengthen procurement strategies for steel, cement, and prefabricated building systems.
Monitor EU-backed reconstruction financing programs and regional infrastructure incentives.
Analysts expect Poland’s construction sector to remain one of Central Europe’s strongest-performing infrastructure markets through 2030, supported by transportation modernization, geopolitical rebuilding initiatives, and logistics corridor expansion.
The combination of Ukraine reconstruction demand and domestic megaproject development is positioning Poland as a critical infrastructure gateway connecting Western Europe with Eastern European rebuilding efforts. According to NMSC analysis, transportation infrastructure, industrial construction, and smart logistics systems are expected to remain the fastest-growing segments during the forecast period.
