TAIPEI, Taiwan — June 3, 2026 — As global demand for high-density artificial intelligence compute capabilities outpaces traditional infrastructure layouts, Vertiv has officially introduced its first AI factory digital twin roadmap stage. Developed in partnership with NVIDIA and Dassault Systèmes, the virtual environment marks a critical shift toward co-designing physical power and cooling systems alongside accelerated silicon architectures.
The launch, unveiled at the Computex conference, introduces a digital twin for Vertiv's SmartRun infrastructure system natively integrated into the NVIDIA Omniverse DSX Blueprint. The platform aims to resolve a persistent pain point for operators: safely deploying complex, multi-megawatt AI clusters without costly physical hardware retrofits.
By leveraging Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE platform, the system replaces traditional, siloed engineering documents with an interconnected virtual model. This model ensures that thermal dynamics, power flow controls, and mechanical dependencies are validated in real time before physical ground is ever broken.
"AI infrastructure can no longer be planned one compute generation at a time," stated Scott Armul, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Vertiv. He emphasized that the collaborative tool helps operators encode structural expertise into deployment blocks, maximizing tokens per second per megawatt.
Unified Full-Stack Validation: Seamless integration of physical cooling, power, and operational layouts with accelerated compute workloads.
OpenUSD Asset Integration: Leverages the NVIDIA Omniverse DSX platform for highly accurate, physics-backed simulation of gigawatt-scale AI factories.
Lifecycle Design Assurance: Offers a single, persistent digital layout spanning configuration, initial commissioning, and post-deployment optimization.
The fusion of spatial computing with critical infrastructure is drawing massive attention from industrial market intelligence firms. The initiative addresses structural bottlenecks currently capping the rollout speed of next-generation chips like NVIDIA’s latest microarchitectures.
"The introduction of high-fidelity Digital Twins into the data center lifecycle is reshaping infrastructure investment profiles," notes a Lead Analyst at Next Move Strategy Consulting. "According to NMSC insights, the demand for interoperability and co-design elements is forcing a permanent departure from legacy, decoupled planning processes."
By bridging the gap between hardware engineering and concrete deployment, the alliance signals an automated future for industrial facility layout design, setting a new benchmark for speed and performance.
