As the global jewellery industry continues to evolve through innovation, design excellence, and digital engagement, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is set to reaffirm Hong Kong’s position as a premier international jewellery sourcing hub. In early March, HKTDC will present the world’s largest one-stop jewellery marketplace under its established “Two Shows, Two Venues” model, bringing together raw materials, finished jewellery, and global industry stakeholders.
Organised by HKTDC, the 12th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show will be held from 2 to 6 March at AsiaWorld-Expo, focusing on a comprehensive range of jewellery raw materials. Complementing this, the 42nd Hong Kong International Jewellery Show will take place from 4 to 8 March at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, spotlighting finished jewellery creations. Together, the twin shows form a unified marketplace designed to connect buyers and exhibitors across the entire jewellery value chain. Jenny Koo, Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC, highlighted the scale and international reach of the event, noting that around 4,000 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and regions will participate, with nearly 70% coming from outside Hong Kong. The initiative underscores Hong Kong’s role as an international trade capital and a global hub for jewellery sourcing.
This year’s marketplace features over 40 themed pavilions, reflecting the diversity and craftsmanship of the global jewellery sector. A key highlight is the debut of the Hard Pure Gold Pavilion by the World Gold Council, which will present innovative gold technologies and craftsmanship to the international market. Additional first-time participants include the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Ltd. as a dedicated pavilion and the Zhushan Turquoise pavilion from Hubei. The Hall of Fame at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show will also return with an expansion of more than 40% in scale, welcoming a broader range of renowned international jewellery brands.
Beyond exhibitions, the twin shows will host more than 20 seminars and networking sessions focused on current industry topics such as digital marketing, jewellery technologies, and evolving business models. One session will explore how artificial intelligence is moving from design concepts to commercialisation within the jewellery industry, while other seminars will feature influencers sharing insights on leveraging e-commerce platforms to enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
According to Next Move Strategy Consulting’s view, the scale and structure of HKTDC’s one-stop Jewelry Market reflect a broader industry shift toward integrated platforms that combine sourcing, innovation, and knowledge exchange. By uniting raw materials, finished products, technological dialogue, and global participation under one coordinated framework, the twin shows strengthen Hong Kong’s role as a central connector in the international jewellery ecosystem.
With its extensive exhibitor base, expanded themed pavilions, and forward-looking forums, the upcoming HKTDC twin jewellery shows are positioned to serve as a focal point for global trade engagement. The event not only facilitates sourcing and collaboration but also highlights how innovation, technology, and international connectivity are shaping the future of the jewellery industry.
