Nvidia-Meta AI Deal Lifts Data Center Infrastructure Market

Meta’s AI Investment Push Highlights the Growing Importance of Data Center Infrastructure

MENLO PARK, United States — October 27, 2026 — Nvidia will invest $3 billion in Meta Platforms as part of an expanded artificial intelligence partnership, the companies said on Tuesday. The announcement underscores the scale of capital and compute demand across the data center infrastructure market.

The investment forms part of the $95 billion stock offering that Meta announced on Monday. Nvidia said it would purchase $3 billion of that offering.

The companies also plan to deepen their collaboration on Meta’s Muse agent platform and the Muse family of models. The stated objective is to improve inference and training performance.

According to Next Move Strategy Consulting, the data center infrastructure market was valued at USD 269.86 billion in 2025 and is estimated at USD 328.11 billion in 2026. It is projected to reach USD 795.17 billion by 2035, expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 10.3% from 2026 to 2035.

Key Highlights:

  • Nvidia will purchase $3 billion of the $95 billion stock offering Meta announced on Monday.

  • The partnership centers on Meta’s Muse agent platform and model family, with a focus on inference and training performance.

  • Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a statement that the company intends to continue working with Nvidia on personal agents and frontier models.

  • Axios reported that large Nvidia investments are becoming common among leading AI companies, supplying capital for expansion while giving Nvidia a path to future revenue.

Analyst Insight:

According to analysts at Next Move Strategy Consulting, rising AI workload deployment and GPU accelerator demand is the largest growth driver in the data center infrastructure market. It contributes an estimated 2.9 percentage points to forecast growth, ahead of hyperscale cloud capacity investment at 2.3 percentage points.

NMSC analysts note that grid interconnection delays and power availability constraints remain the largest restraint, with an estimated negative impact of 1.6 percentage points. This is relevant to how quickly financing commitments translate into operating capacity.

Industry Outlook:

The announcement links equity financing, AI model development and compute infrastructure within a single transaction. NMSC projects the data center infrastructure market to expand at a 10.3% CAGR through 2035, with hyperscale capital programs and accelerator deployment remaining central demand drivers. Further disclosures on the offering and the Muse collaboration will clarify the scale of infrastructure deployment involved.
